Companies have many clever ways to convince you to become a loyal customer, including placing subliminal messaging in their logos. In fact, take a minute right now to close your eyes and think about your favorite brands. Wait, don’t do that, because you won’t be able to read the rest of this. Just think about them with your eyes open.

Take fast-food restaurants, for example. Can you even imagine McDonald’s without associating it with those golden arches? And the Burger King logo just wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t sandwiched between those two orange buns, would it? The Taco Bell logo would be much less interesting without that huge purple bell in the center. And let’s not forget the Pizza Hut logo with that weird red thing on the top. Seriously, what was that thing? There’s a reason why they redesigned their logo in 1999.

But restaurants aren’t the only ones who create memorable logos as a way of getting customers to remember them and keep them coming back for more. Think about Amazon Prime, a logo that you’ve most likely become pretty familiar with since you probably get roughly 20 Prime packages delivered per week (at least). That little arrow that creates a smile along the bottom is pretty hard to forget, especially now that it’s become such a huge part of our daily lives.

It turns out, there’s a secret meaning behind the logos of your favorite brands that you might not even know about. Do you realize that there’s a flag hidden in the Coca Cola logo? And that the Tostitos logo is more than it might seem? The Toblerone logo has an animal prominently featured, but which one? And what shape is hiding in the FedEx logo? (This one is seriously mind-blowing.)

This quiz will test your knowledge of popular logos and see if you can figure out what the companies behind them are trying to say to you. Think you’re an expert? You might be surprised by how tough this quiz is.
