I take my research incredibly seriously. It’s the most important thing to me.
Research was a secondary interest for me. I started as a trainer, but realized that I couldn’t keep up and became a professor.
Research is a means to an end for me. It’s interesting, but I’m more interested in how to put my research to good practical use.

A young trainer comes to you for advice and to get their first Pokémon. What do you do?

I’ll help out where I can. I could always use a pair of young legs to explore and find new Pokémon secrets.
I typically seek out the young trainers that I would like to mentor rather than waiting for them to come to me.
I would need them to show me that they could handle themselves first, then I would give them a Pokédex and Pokémon.
I’ve been helping young trainers all my life! I’d tell them to take good care of their Pokémon and ask them to help me with my research.
