When the original Sharknado film was first released in 2013, no one really expected it to become the cult smash hit that it has. The plot was simple enough: a monstrous cyclone hits Los Angeles and, due to its massive size and force, somehow floods the city with man-eating killer sharks. Later, as our heroes deal with the flooding and shark-infested waters, they learn of a tornado warning threatening to destroy the city. By the end of the movie the tornado has scooped up the angry sharks and is hurling them at the terrified residents. And yes, this rich and well-constructed plot has somehow lead to five sequels.
